Eminem¢s record company has finally confirmed a release date for his upcoming albums, Relapse, and yes, Relapse2, as the rumor for a second dose of all new material was also verified.


A lot of people were expecting Relapse to drop last year,” said Eminem. “I was one of them.

Then Dre and I went back in the studio in September for a few days, and that turned into six months,” he said of his album¢s delay.

“We were on such a roll; we wound up with a ton of new music produced by Dre. Putting out Relapse 2 will let everyone get all of the best stuff.”

This is great news for Eminem fans, who have been anticipating a new album from the rapper for over 4 years.

The rumors started circulating late-last fall when Eminem released a promotional freestyle I¢m having a Relapse for Relapse.

Earlier this year, Crack A Bottle featuring 50 Cent and Dr.Dre was leaked. The hype was outstanding across the blogs and that transcended into commercial success - resulting in the Nielsen SoundScan record for opening week download sales. The song also reached #1 on the billboard charts.

May 16th, 2009 - one of the most commercially successful artists of all time will return with Relapse, pressing the reset button, on his proverbial career.

No word on when the second album Relapse 2 is scheduled for — Eminem who is known for missing due dates — said it will quickly follow.

According to Interscope, the follow up, will be issued in the second half of this year.
